International Initiatives

The Principles for Responsible Investment are an investor initiative in partnership with UNEP Finance Initiative and the UN Global Compact. Within Singapore, only Arisaig Partners (Asia) Pte Ltd, CSR Asia and Responsible Research Pte Ltd are the only 3 signatories as of the end of 2009.

The FTSE4Good Index Series has been designed to measure the performance of companies that meet globally recognised corporate responsibility standards, and to facilitate investment in those companies. Transparent management and criteria alongside the FTSE brand make FTSE4Good the index of choice for the creation of Responsible Investment products.

A parallel development in the social enteprise field is the development of the The Global Impact Investing Rating System (GIIRS), which is the result of collaboration between some of the leading organisations in social capital markets. It includes a set of "impact reporting and investment standards" a much-needed attempt to develop common definitions of the main terms used in social capital markets."
